The online registration and automatic pass purchasing system failed me again today. I noticed the other day that I had been charged $59 by the MBTA for my October LinkPass. I checked my statement today to find that I had been charged $59 again the next day.
On my way through the gates this afternoon I discovered that I’m still without an October LinkPass, and I’m dipping into the stored value I keep on the card to help friends out when they run low on cash. Which is great.
When I called the MBTA, I was told that they are having technical issues with the system (really?) and I will be refunded the full $59 of the second of the two LinkPasses I have yet to be issued. And I should be getting that LinkPass Real Soon Now.
My stored value? That’s not coming back to me.
